Long-Distance Secret Santa (How to Run One Online)

A Secret Santa works fine when people live in different places. You just need a way to share matches privately and a plan for shipping.
1. Draw the names
Put everyoneâs name into PickMySanta, with an optional gift hint after each one. Choose Send private links and tap Draw. If youâre playing too, make sure your own name is in the list.
2. Send each person their own link
Use the Text or Email button next to each name, or Copy link and paste it into a direct message. Each link opens a page that shows only that personâs match. Send each person only their own link, not the whole list.
3. Plan for shipping
Ask each person to share a shipping address with their giver only, not the whole group.
Set a ship-by date early enough for delivery, since holiday shipping slows down.
Consider whether the budget includes shipping, and say so.
Gift cards, snacks and small items that ship flat are easy to send.
4. Make the reveal fun
Pick a date and do a video call where everyone opens their gift on camera.
Set an exchange date in PickMySanta, and your matches get an âAdd to calendarâ button.
