Rules for White Elephant (also called Yankee Swap or Dirty Santa) vary from group to group, so agree on them before you start: how many times a gift can be stolen, whether you can steal straight back, and whether the first player gets a final swap. Many groups let the first player swap at the end because they go with the least information, but that’s a house rule, not a standard.
Do I need an account?
No. Your names stay on your device.
Can it split people into teams too?
Yes. Change “Split by” to number of groups or people per group.
Is this the same as Secret Santa?
No. In Secret Santa each person is assigned one person to buy for. White Elephant is a game where gifts are opened and stolen in turns. For Secret Santa, use the first tab.
