Most Secret Santa exchanges set a budget somewhere around $10 to $25. The ideas below usually fit, but prices change, so check before you buy.
If you know what they like
Coffee or tea fan: a tea sampler, a small bag of good coffee, or a fun mug.
Board and card game fan: a small card game or a travel-size game.
Reader: a paperback, a bookmark, or a clip-on book light.
Cook: a spice or seasoning set, or a good silicone spatula.
Plant person: a small succulent in a nice pot.
Fitness: a water bottle or a set of resistance bands.
Works at a desk: a notebook with a nice pen, a phone stand, or a small desk plant.
Snacker: a chocolate assortment, a hot sauce, or a popcorn kit.
If you know almost nothing about them
Safe picks are chocolate or snacks, warm socks, a notebook, or a mug paired with a little treat. Check for dietary restrictions first, and go easy on strong scents.
Tips
Ask for hints. In PickMySanta you can type a hint after each name, like โAlex: loves coffee,โ and it shows when someone reveals their match.
Include a gift receipt if the gift could be the wrong size or style.
Stay under the budget the group agreed on. Spending more can make others feel awkward.
